Unfortunately, there are many individuals out there who are working as locksmiths but are not licensed. Most of the time these unlicensed, inexperienced, unprofessional locksmiths are simply trying to earn as much money as possible and therefore will give deleterious and misguided advice. Only a licensed locksmith can give you qualified advice and recommendations regarding security solutions (both physical and electronic) for your home or business. Our locksmiths are licensed and are ready to show proof of licensing upon request.

We provide various locksmithing services throughout the Las Vegas area. We offer Residential, Commercial and Automotive services as well as same day and Emergency Lock-Out services. We will be there to help you with all your security needs.

We offer high quality name brand products. Our products come from various suppliers such as Mul-T-Lock, Securitron, Marks USA and more. These products are not only of the finest quality, but they are available to you at an affordable price. See our Suppliers page for more info.

The term rekey actually has two very different and distinct meanings. First, it means to change the combination of a lock, create a new key for the lock, thus disabling any keys previously in use. This is done to re-secure a home or business after a change Usually new homeowners will get their house ‘rekeyed’, so no one but the new owner has entry. Businesses get their locks rekeyed when a key carrying employee has left the company or a change of owners/managers. Only the part of the lock that takes the key inside the lock actually gets changed, and the original hardware remains unchanged. REKEY can also mean to replace a key that was lost, stolen or broken. This is entirely different than resetting the combination on the lock. In this case, the original lost key would be re-manufactured from scratch, and the and the combination to the lock remains unchanged. Both services share the same term, but the actual work and charges are very different.

Law enforcement and security specialists agree on this one, because the real issue is safety. In the event that you must get in the house quickly, it is awkward and dangerous to fumble through an assortment of keys to unlock the door. This is especially true if one is dealing with severe weather, or being pursued by an animal, or worse, someone with malicious intent.

A key that has a device embedded inside which transmits and receives data. These devices contain one of over a trillion unique codes. When the key is inserted into the ignition, the transponder sends a signal to a disc-shaped antenna mounted behind the steering wheel. If the signal is recognized by the vehicles immobilizer, then the engine will start. If the signal is not recognized or has been weakened by damage to the transponder then the immobilizer will shut down vital operating systems to the engine and it will not run. This technology greatly reduces the risk of auto theft and provides a peace of mind for the vehicles owner. Check out our Automotive Locksmith page for more details.

Every car is programmed differently. Most Transponder keys come preprogrammed with a fixed code. This means that it cannot be changed to match the vehicle. The solution to this is to program the vehicle to recognize the new code. This is done with a variety of equipment depending on the year make and model of the vehicle.
